Kat founded Stem in 2019 after leaving behind a six-figure position in the corporate world working for two of the most influential entertainment companies in the world. With a vision of leveraging the connections and relationships she made during her traveling, she envisioned a shop that could offer consumers access to unique artisanal one-of-a-kind products, paired with on-trend fashionable clothing; something she had not seen or experienced as a shopper in Miami. After only a year in business, the pandemic happened. Despite the many challenges, the business continued to grow, so much that with the support and encouragement of a loyal clientele, she made the decision to move to a new and more prominent location. Downtown Coral Gables has been her home for many years, so moving the store there was an obvious decision. The new location at 102 Giralda is genuinely a dream come true. Giralda Plaza captures the charm of a European Piazza, with beautifully-crafted and hand-laid stone pavers defining a public space framed with majestic Date Palms, Bridalveil trees and illuminated by suspended cable lights.
